Why Get Married?

“But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? Who am I to build a house for him, except as a place to make offerings before him?”

2 Chronicles 2:6

“what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”

Psalm 8:4

2. Center Your Life

 on God.

“They shall eat, but not be satisfied;

they shall play the whore, but not multiply,

because they have forsaken the Lord

to cherish 11 whoredom, wine, and new wine,

which take away the understanding.”

Hosea 3:10-11

“For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces….”

Hosea 8:14

3. Be Holy

“For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry. 4 With respect to this they are surprised when you do not join them in the same flood of debauchery, and they malign you….”

1 Peter 4:3-4

“Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.”

1 Peter 2:12

Your New Life

You have Knowledge of Christ

You are Not God’s children

You are God’s Children

You are Controlled by Your Desires

You are Controlled by God

Your Life is Futile

Your Life is Holy
